My Story
Dr. Luceandy Tooley earned her doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University. Her research focused on the experiences of Haitian immigrant college students who pursued higher education in the United States after the 2010 earthquake. The study examined participants’ migration journeys, the immigration policies they navigated, and the motivations that influenced their decision to pursue a college education following the disaster.
With more than 11 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Tooley has developed expertise in academic affairs, residential life, and student affairs leadership. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and professional organizations including the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and the American College Personnel Association–Educators International (ACPA). Dr. Tooley is passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge related to international and undocumented students.
